Resumen
No obstante ya no existieren monjes cistercienses en Portugal, en la actualidad, todavía existe su legado patrimonial, sobre todo sus arquitecturas y sus monasterios. Estas son las Arquitecturas del Cister que se encuentran en una estrecha línea entre la memoria y la realidad, esto es, entre lo que han sido y lo que son en la actualidad. Además, entre la memoria y la realidad también se encuentran todos los principios y fundamentos generadores de este tipo de espacios en Portugal. Se presenta, consecuentemente con este texto, la búsqueda de una aproximación contemporánea al patrimonio cisterciense portugués.

Abstract
Although the Cistercian monks are inexistent in Portugal, at the present time, there is still their heritage legacy, above all, their architectures, and their monasteries. These are the Cistercian Architectures which are in a thin line between memory and reality, i. e., what these architectures have been and what are today. Further, between memory and reality, we can find also the principles and the fundamentals which are generators of this kind of spaces in Portugal. It will be presented, as a consequence on this text, the search of contemporary approach of the Portuguese Cistercian heritage.
